Manastirski Livadi is a quarter in the southern part of Sofia, located near Vitosha Mountain. It is located on both sides of the boulevard. "Bulgaria", before the Ring Road.
The neighborhood "Manastirski Livadi" to the west is bordered by Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd. "Buxton Brothers", to the north borders with ul. "Todor Kableshkov", to the east with kv. "Krastova Vada" and to the south with the Ring Road. Initially, the territory east of Bul. Bulgaria, as the name of the neighborhood suggests, was occupied entirely with meadows, formerly owned by the Dragalevtsi Monastery, which were built on new modern residential complexes. Typical for this neighborhood are the high groundwater. Bus line 65 travels to the interior of the neighborhood, which runs an average of 20 minutes.
The western part of the neighborhood (west of Bulgaria Blvd.) is densely built and continues to be built with new residential buildings. The infrastructure is relatively good. On December 1, 2012, Bulgaria Mall was opened, which is one of the largest shopping centers in the capital. The Military Institute for Coordination and Standardization (86 Gen. Stefan Toshev Str.) is also located in this part.
Administratively, the neighborhood is divided between two Sofia districts. The part located to the west of Blvd. Bulgaria belongs to the Vitosha region, while the one to the east belongs to the Triaditsa region.
The neighborhood is one of the fastest growing areas of Sofia. Manastirski livadi is located in convenient proximity to the center of Sofia and is served by one of the fastest thoroughfares of the capital - Tsarigradsko shose Blvd. "Bulgaria". The location of Manastirski Livadi near Vitosha Mountain and the prestigious residential districts of Boyana, Dragalevtsi and Kinocenter on the one hand, and the proximity of the neighborhood to the center of Sofia – 15 minutes by car – on the other, make it one of the most preferred places to live. The neighborhood is characterized by a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, a specific microclimate and fresh air. The lift to the ski slopes of Vitosha is located near Manastirski Livadi. A major problem of the neighborhood is that due to the rapid and thoughtless privatization of nationalized lands, its land does not have a public green space or park, and its green system is scarce. The only such place is the turn of tram 7.
On the territory of Manastirski livadi are located MHAT "St. Sofia", Hotel Festa Sofia, boutique shops, restaurants in the field of services and entertainment. Nearby there is a polyclinic, a sports hall, three reputable schools – one with advanced study of English and the other in German, three kindergartens, the National Museum of History.
In Manastirski livadi is located the new administrative building of BTV, located on a plot of 13,000 sq. M
